Beth Payne is a small town Midwestern native who is rapidly becoming known as the
talent with many voices. Beth studied at University Of Denver were she was a speech
and debate champion. She also went to the University of Saga in Saga Japan . This
multilingual, multi-talented actress/ comedienne is the voice of 6 different characters on
the popular PBS #1 animated series, Maya and Miguel. Her voices have also been
utilized in several pilots as well. Lady Payne is one of the hottest and newest additions
to the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
She has appeared on My Wife and Kids, Jamie
Foxx Show, Comic View, and performed in many major comedy houses across the
country. She has performed for children's organization, the Breast Cancer Foundation,
universities and colleges as well as for major corporations. Beth has also worked in the
public school system in which she implemented several programs for children that
focus on building their self-esteem. Additionally, she has been a mentor for children in
the foster care program. In 2005, Lady Payne was awarded "Best Supporting Actress"
at the 168 Film Project for Notes. She also earned an award for best ensemble cast
for the play, For Colored Girls who Considered Suicide when the Rainbow Isn't
Enough, which entailed deaf and hearing actresses who signed. As a trailblazer, she
transcends generations as well as social and ethnic barriers. As a visionary,
she projects positive energy to change the way people examine themselves and each
other.
Lady Payne's dream is to give a sense of hope and create a spirit of strength
that will encourage those who need encouragement. "I want to show people you can
mess up, but you don't have to repeat the same mistakes. I want to refresh minds, heal
wounds, and inspire young people to dream and to follow those dreams through a
simple smile." Lady Payne speaks Spanish, French and Japanese.
